History:
This 1300 was a one owner car when Dirk bought it. But it looked in a bad way! It was located at a local Volkswagen dealer and was planned to be modified to be be used as a snow plow! Dirk paid just 50 Euros for it. It was restored initially with a 1776cc engine, sloping headlight front wings, early front and rear lids and 5.5 and 7 inch steel wheels. The car got street legal in 1997. In spring 2001 the car was modified again, to be a traditional Cal Look car. In 2003 it was repainted in Porsche Sepia brown. During 2005 the engine was updated to 2276cc's, T-bars were added and the turn signal housings and headlight rings were dechromed. In 2007 all chrome parts were replaced by coated or painted parts. In 2008 the car received Lucas turn indicators, a Moon tach as well as a Hurst shifter. The visual appearance of the engine was updated for a more classic look without MSD or Mallory components.
